Run of the Mill, an award-winning inclusive arts organisation, is entering a new phase of growth and is seeking to appoint two new board members who will play a key role in shaping the organisation’s next chapter. We are recruiting for two distinct roles: Fundraising & Strategic Growth and Artistic & Sector Leadership. Board members will contribute to the strategic direction, governance, and long-term sustainability of the organisation, while acting as advocates for Run of the Mill and supporting the development of high-quality, inclusive artistic work. We strongly welcome and encourage applications from individuals with lived experience of disability and those currently underrepresented in arts leadership and governance.

No previous board experience is required. We are also happy to accept video applications (no longer than 3 minutes) in lieu of a written statement.

Who are we looking for?

As a Board Member, you will:
1. Contribute to the development and delivery of the organisation’s strategic vision.
2. Ensure strong governance practices, compliance, and safeguarding standards.
3. Support the organisation’s continued growth, sustainability, and visibility.
4. Act as an advocate for Run of the Mill, building relationships and raising the organisation’s profile.
5. Support the ongoing development of high-quality, inclusive artistic work.
6. Contribute to advancing a more inclusive arts landscape through active engagement and leadership at board level.
We are seeking individuals with experience in social care and disability, fundraising and strategic growth, or senior arts sector leadership. All candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to inclusion and accessibility in the arts, with excellent communication and collaborative skills at board level. We particularly welcome applications from disabled people and those underrepresented in arts leadership and governance.
