His producing practice is deeply informed by his background as a performer; his training and experience as an actor shape a collaborative, empathetic, and artist-centred approach that prioritises care, process, and the lived experience of those at the heart of each project. His work centres socially engaged, artist-led storytelling, with a particular commitment to inclusive creative processes and championing underrepresented voices. Killian works across development, production, and touring on projects spanning short film, contemporary theatre, documentary-hybrid performance, and national and international touring work.
Recent producing credits include Mary Is Missing (Run of the Mill & Arcade Film, 2025), winner of the Grand Prix Irish Short Award at Cork International Film Festival; Turnaround (Arcade Film, Screen Ireland Focus Short), winner of Best Short Drama at the 36th Galway Film Fleadh (2024) and Best Short Film at Foyle Film Festival (2024); Real Life by Aisling Byrne (Run of the Mill, Project Arts Centre, 2024); This Solution by Shaun Dunne (Dublin Theatre Festival, 2023); the Oscar-qualifying Headspace (Run of the Mill & Arcade Film, Grand Prix Best Irish Short, Cork International Film Festival 2022, European Film Awards candidate); Good Sex by Dead Centre & Emilie Pine (DTF 2022–23, international touring); Animals by Louise White (DTF 2022); and Making a Mark by Shaun Dunne (National Tour, Dublin Fringe Judges’ Choice Award).
His film experience includes multiple award-winning collaborations with Run of the Mill and Arcade Film, working across development, shoot and post on artist-driven projects such as Connections by Mark Smith and Colm Keegan (2023), Headspace (2022), and Mary Is Missing (2025) alongside several Screen Ireland and Arts Council-supported works. These projects collectively span social-realist drama, docu-fiction, and ensemble-devised storytelling, with Killian’s producing practice rooted in care, access and thoughtful creative facilitation.
Killian is part of field:arts, a national Creative Production Supports initiative, and was previously supported by Screen Ireland and the National Talent Academies through both the EMERGE programme and the Mentorship for Producers scheme. His earlier producing foundation includes work with Dead Centre, Louise White Performance, Talking Shop Ensemble, Verdant Productions and Reality:Check Productions.
Across film and theatre, Killian is known for his detail-driven approach, collaborative leadership, and commitment to supporting artists and ensembles to realise ambitious, socially resonant work. He is based between Dublin and London.
