Annie Hoey is a theatre producer and facilitator whose work spans youth arts, community theatre and socially engaged performance. As Company Producer with Run of the Mill, she works alongside artists, facilitators and the wider team to develop and deliver the company’s theatre and film projects.

Before returning to the arts and community sector, Annie served as a Senator in Seanad Éireann. Her work there focused on equality, education, youth participation and social inclusion. She is a board member of Youth Theatre Ireland and Outhouse.She also works as a wedding celebrant and laughter yoga instructor.

Annie studied Drama and Theatre Studies at University College Cork and Creative Arts Management at the University of Galway. She is an avid reader and has a deep grá for the Irish language. She believes there is very little that cannot be improved by creativity, radical joy and shared laughter.
