Fever will present an opportunity for lead performer Mark Smith to further pursue his emerging practice in performance poetry for film; an artistic journey that began with Culture Night commission ‘Quarantine’ in 2020, to further explore his growing thematic interest in the vulnerabilities of Ireland’s poor during the Great Famine as understood through a lens of his own perceived vulnerability within the recent pandemic. He will work with leading poet and writer Colm Keegan to author a piece for film in collaboration once again with Arcade Film.
